Smokey Bear Woodsy Owl winners announced

The Mountain View Garden Club held its annual Smokey Bear Woodsy Owl contest at Mountain View and Birch Tree Elementary Schools in November of 2024. The club was delighted that between the two schools, over 100 students from the 1st through 5th grades entered the contest. Winners from the MV Elementary School are from left to right: Kade Brooks from 2nd grade, Millie Wells from 1st grade and Locklynn Harvey from the 4th grade. From Birch Tree Elementary, Catalina Garza from 5th grade was awarded $25 for her picture and it was forwarded to the State contest, Raylah Schincke from the 3rd grade was also awarded $25 for her drawing and it was forwarded to the State contest, and Brilee Dillard from the 5th grade. The club is so very proud of each of these students and look forward to seeing them enter future contests.
