Willow Springs High School announces Staff Member of the Year and Teacher of the Year

The Willow Springs High School recently announced the Staff Member of the Year and the Teacher of the Year.

 

Jenny Poor was recognized last week as the WSHS Staff Member of the Year. Poor is our Registrar and Attendance Administrative Assistant. She does a lot for students, staff and parents. Students and staff chose Poor as the WSHS Staff Member of the Year for the 2024-25 school year.

 

One of the students had this to say about Poor. "She is a great Secretary. She is very kind and she works well under pressure. She multi-tasks very well, and she handles a lot on her plate and still gets everything done."

 

Brandon Day was recognized as the WSHS Teacher of the Year. Day teaches Pre-Algebra, Algebra IA and Algebra IB. He has a way of teaching math that helps students deepen their understanding. Students and staff chose Day as the WSHS Teacher of the Year for the 2024-25 school year.
