‘Ask the City’ in West Plains

Citizens in West Plains have a new way to communicate to the city government. A recently implemented artificial intelligence (AI) feature has been added to the website. A small logo in the bottom right-hand corner of westplains.gov launches the chat window.

“Citizens are encouraged to reach out to us if they have any questions… or any ordinance we have, or they can click on a new "Ask the City" button on our website to learn more about what our code allows or prohibits. We partnered with Ordinal AI out of Arkansas to bring the new feature which hopefully makes it easier for folks to get information,” said City Administrator Sam Anselm in an email to Howell County News.
