After thirty years serving the West Plains area as a police officer, Bryan Brauer is retiring and looking at the next chapter of his life as the Howell County Presiding Commissioner. Brauer was born and raised in Howell County where he attended Glenwood School then West Plains High School.
"I then decided to serve my community first as a Howell County Deputy in 1991, then in 1993 I started at the West Plains Police Department," stated Brauer. "I have always had a passion for serving my community. It has been a way of life for me for the past 30 plus years. Seeing our county move forward is my number one priority. As a lifelong resident of Howell County, I choose to raise my kids here and I’m a proud resident of Howell County. I’m looking forward to being the Presiding Commissioner."
