The Howell County Commission met briefly on Feb. 24, but planned to reconvene on Feb. 28 due to inclement weather.
The commission had a conference call with John Lieser from the State Auditor’s office. They reviewed and approved the agreement with the South Central Solid Waste Management District Executive Board. The commission met with a representative of the juvenile office regarding a grant and met with a representative of the 37th Judicial Family Court also regarding a grant.
Agendas regularly include approving any accounts payable and recognizing any guests who appear.
Your Howell County Commissioners are Presiding Commissioner Mark Collins, Northern Commissioner Calvin Wood, and Southern Commissioner Billy Sexton. The commission meets in regular session on Mondays and Thursdays, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The meetings remain open during the lunch hour and are open to the public.
