The Howell County Commission met on April 28 and May 2.
On April 28, the commission reviewed an Asbestos Inspection Proposal with SCOCOG (South Central Ozark Council of Governments) for a Community Development Block Grant.
On May 2, the commission reviewed and considered a contract with Chris Reed of Reed’s Trenching & Excavating for culvert installations in the Mountain View area. They also were scheduled to meet with representatives from the Juvenile Office to amend Grant 17-15 for additional funding available.
The commissioners were scheduled to appoint a board member to the Health Department Board.
Finally, the commission was scheduled to consider and award an ARPA (American Rescue Plan Act) request.
Agendas regularly include approving any accounts payable and recognizing any guests who appear.
Your Howell County commissioners are Presiding Commissioner Mark Collins, Northern Commissioner Calvin Wood, and Southern Commissioner Billy Sexton. The commission meets in regular session on Mondays and Thursdays, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The meetings remain open during the lunch hour and are open to the public.
