Mtn. View P&Z Votes to Annex

The Planning and Zoning Commission for the City of Mountain met on March 21. All five members were present. Current members of the commission are Greg Bell, Eric Kaut, Vicki Shoup, Jay Oziah, and Charry McCann. 

A public hearing took place on behalf of Ozark Development, LLC requesting to annex 4.7 acres into the City of Mountain View. One member of the LLC was present. The commission discussed, “a written list of questions form an adjacent property owner and the costs or benefits to the city,” says the draft minutes of the meeting. No objections were presented, and no public comments are recorded in the minutes. 

A motion was made by Vicki Shoup and seconded by Eric Kaut to approve the request to annex the 4.7 acre tract, located on State Route W, into the City of Mountain View to be zoned R-1. The motion passed unanimously. 

The Board of Aldermen are expected to vote and finalize the annexation at the regular April meeting.
