Stolen Truck Recovered in Mtn. View

Officers of the Mountain View Police Department recovered a stolen 2009 Chevrolet Silverado taken from a Pomona residence. The truck went missing in the overnight hours of Feb. 20, says a release from the Howell County Sheriff's Department. 

MVPD officers recovered the vehicle on Feb. 25 at approximately 9:00 a.m. on Woolsey Ave. in Mountain View. Matthew Sherwood, Pomona, was arrested on scene for active warrants from Texas County for two counts of second degree burglary and one count of first degree property damage. 

Charges of possession of a stolen vehicle were forwarded to the prosecuting attorney’s office, but formal charges remain pending as of press time.
