The time has finally arrived for the annual Howell County News Morel Photo Contest. Spring has been very slow to start, but locals are starting to find the distinctive fungus, and we want to see your photos!
Submit a photo of your most impressive morel haul by May 1. The editor will evaluate entries for size and quantity of the mushrooms as well as the mushroom’s appearance and the photo’s overall composition.
The grand prize winner will win a $50 cash prize and a one-year print/digital subscription to the Howell County News. Two runner-up winners will receive a digital/print bundle each, a $50 value.
Submit your photo to editor@howellcountynews by May 1, and the winners will be announced in the paper.
