Warrant Issued for WP Man Who Maced Two Children

Scotty Niederklopfer, 27, West Plains, faces three charges each of armed criminal action and second degree assault in connection with an incident that took place on November 29 at a gas station in West Plains.
According to a probable cause statement filed by Officer Justin Brown of the West Plains Police Department, the officer met with an adult male victim in the parking lot of the gas station who said Niederklopfer stared him down and made a rude hand gesture at him before walking up to his driver’s side window. When the victim rolled the window down, Niederklopfer sprayed mace inside the vehicle where the victim was seated with two children.
The victim produced a handgun, and Niederklopfer ran off.
Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Matthew Weatherman filed six felony charges against Niederklopfer on April 21. A warrant was issued for his arrest the following day. As of press time, Niederklopfer remains at large.
