Autumn Sigears to represent the Ozarks at Miss Missouri USA

Autumn Sigears has been chosen to represent the Ozarks at the Miss Missouri USA to be held in Branson April 30 to May 1 at the Historic Theatre of the Arts.

Sigears grew up in the Ozarks and graduated from Cabool High School. She graduated with an Associates Degree in Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management from Ozarks Mountain Technical Center in Mountain Grove. Sigears is currently a freshman at Missouri State-West Plains majoring in Early Childhood Education and double minoring in International Business and French.

Sigears stated that this was her second year in the Miss USA Pageant. Her social impact will be alcohol and drug prevention for grades 5th through 12th. Her goal, if she becomes Miss Missouri, is to set a 20-hour curriculum that will include drug and alcohol awareness, how to handle peer pressure, partying, prescription pill safety, drinking and driving prevention and consequences along with where to go for help if you or a loved one has an addiction.

After the pageant, Sigears plans to attend the University of Oxford for the summer for their history and creative writing course. Further plans include traveling to Scottland to attend the University of Edinburgh.
