Calls for Service

January 26

Officer Caleb Kerley responded to a disturbance on Kentucky Ave. His investigation found both parties' statements conflicting with each other. This case will be forwarded to the West Plains Prosecutor's Office for review.

Officer Tyler Franks responded to a juvenile holding facility regarding two runaway juveniles. They located the juveniles after a short search and returned them to the facility.

January 27

Officer Brent Keepes responded to W. Cass in reference to an out-of-control juvenile. They transported the Juvenile to the hospital for mental evaluation.

Officers cleared a residence on Joe Jones Blvd due to an open door. The house did not appear to be tampered with, and officers secured the residence prior to departure.

January 28

Officer Brandon Vernon responded to Missouri Avenue for a report of property damage. The victim wished not to pursue charges for the incident.

January 29

Officer Shell responded to the Preacher Roe Blvd. for a report of stealing. They later arrested a subject. 

Officers responded to Thayer St. for a report of a domestic altercation. Officer Vernon’s investigation discovered the suspect physically attacked the They arrested the suspect and placed them on a 24-hour hold pending formal charges.

January 30

Officer Chris Barret responded to a business located on Missouri Avenue for a report of a two-veicle crash with one of the vehicles leaving the scene.

Officer Conner Burnes responded to Cass Avenue in response to a domestic violence incident. His investigation found a juvenile suspect obtained a fire extinguisher and threatened to bash in the head of the victim. The suspect proceeded to chase the victim with the extinguisher until law enforcement arrived on scene. They took the suspect into custody without incident. This case will be referred to the Howell County Juvenile Office for review and prosecution.

Officer Tyler Gill took a report of a child crime. This case will be sent to the Child Advocacy Center for review.

Officer Burnes responded to a child custody issue. One parent reported the other had not followed the parenting plan for the last couple of years. His investigation found the parenting plan filed in a different state and not yet transferred to Missouri. As such, this case will be closed with no charges.

Officer Keepes responded to a report of an unconscious individual in a vehicle at a stop sign at Worley Drive and County Road 6460. He arrested the driver for intoxication.

Officer Vernon responded to Missouri Ave. for a report of an individual trespassing and refusing to leave. They later arrested the individual.

January 31

Officers responded to Little Hut on E. Trish Knight St., in reference to an individual refusing to leave the property. The business advised they wanted the person trespassed.

Officer Gill responded to Porter Wagoner Blvd. for a report of an assault.

Officer Dobbs arrested an individual for a probation warrant.
