Citations
October 29
Deputy Jared Peterman initiated a traffic stop on U.S. Highway 160 in West Plains, near Ozark Machinery. The driver, 56-year-old Matthew D. Verble of Maryland Heights, was issued a citation for passing a vehicle and interfering with approaching traffic. He is to appear in court December 7. 
 
Incidents
October 24
An assault was reported at a residence on County Road 1710 in West Plains. No arrests or charges were filed. 
The Sheriff’s Office was contacted about a juvenile who assaulted his mother and siblings. The juvenile was arrested, and charges are pending. 
October 25
A Licking woman reported that a white passenger van struck her vehicle while it was parked at the Monster Corn Maze, south of Cabool. The van left the scene of the accident. 
October 27
An arrest was made on Porter Wagoner Boulevard in West Plains, following a traffic stop. The driver of the vehicle was determined to be intoxicated. 
A Pottersville couple reported the theft of currency and tobacco items from a vehicle that was parked near their home. 
Ozark Sheltered Industries in Pomona reported the theft of two catalytic converters from vans parked near the facility. A report was generated. 
October 29
A West Plains woman reported the theft of several items from her property on State Route 14. A report was generated. 
Property damage was reported at a residence on State Route 17 in West Plains. It was determined that the damaged was caused by a juvenile suspect. A referral was generated and submitted to the juvenile office.
