Calls for Service
June 23
Officer Travis Wilbanks was dispatched to Valley View Apartments for a noise complaint.  Officer Wilbanks spoke with the occupants at the apartment and requested that they keep the volume down.
Officer Wilbanks was dispatched to Delp Road because a woman was banging on a resident’s door asking to come in. Officer Wilbanks arrived and advised the woman to stop. She said she was sorry. She was just thirsty and trying to get in. She then went to the cellar where she stays.
Officer Wilbanks received a report of a vehicle driving eastbound on US Highway 60 with no headlights on. He was unable to locate the vehicle.
June 24
Officer Timothy Gordon assisted Family Services in trying to locate an individual. The individual was not home, and he was unable to locate them.
June 25
Detective Stetson Schwien received a call about a metal object in the roadway on Highway 60 near Brown’s Lawn and Garden. Detective Schwien went to the location, and the object had already been removed.
911 dispatched Detective Schwien to First Street for a report of a man who had been assaulted. When he arrived, Detective Schwien found the man and spoke with him. The man had been physically assaulted, but refused medical treatment and declined to file a report. 
June 26
Corporal Trenton Roberts was asked to direct traffic for graduation. 
June 27
The electric department contacted Corporal Roberts to check on the electric meters at the Valley View Apartments. An electrician had removed the meter and was asked not to touch the meters since they were city property. The department manager was also notified. 
Officer Gordon responded to a location for reported property damage. He took statements and pictures of the damage.  
Corporal Roberts was dispatched to Angelica Street for a report of suspicious people taking pictures of a home. The people stated they work for a company that was contracted to take the pictures of the outside of the vacant home.  
A caller requested information about fireworks being set off in city limits. Officer Gordon informed the caller that the location in question has a permit.
June 28
Corporal Roberts was dispatched to Malone's Motel for a report of a suspicious man loitering. The man was given a courtesy ride to the Honeysuckle Inn to stay for the night.  
A woman requested Corporal Roberts to fax a complaint form to the Howell County Sheriff's Office for an incident that occurred outside of city limits.
