October 5
Officer Ben Bishop was patrolling West High St. and observed a light blue Chevrolet Silverado parked in a posted no parking zone on the northside of West High St. between North Ferguson St. and Corn Ave.
October 8
Assistant Chief Wes Ellison received a report from a woman who stated her ex-husband took two of their children, violating their custody agreement. 
Officer Corey Clark received a report of appliances taken from a rental trailer located on East Third St. 
Officer Clark received a report of a theft on North Walnut St. 
October 11
Officer Bishop went to West High St. for a report of trespassing.  Upon arrival, the resident stated that she had woken up to find a strange woman sleeping on her floor.
 
Calls for Service
October 8
A police officer spoke with a man who was trying to find his daughter to obtain medical attention for her.  The officer escorted the man to her last known residence, but she was not there.
The police department performed a wellbeing check on a man on Ash St. The officer spoke with the man and he was okay. 
October 9
The police department responded to a possible assault at the Love’s Truck Stop.  Officers spoke with the alleged victim who stated the assault had occured in West Plains.  The officers advised the man to contact the West Plains Police Department and make a report once he got to the hospital.  Emergency Medical Services transported the man to Ozark Medical Clinic for treatment. 
The police department received a report of a careless and imprudent driver on south U.S. 63 Highway, however officers were unable to locate the vehicle. 
Officers responded to Sonic for trespassing.  The officers spoke with the woman and she left voluntarily. 
October 10
Animal Control received a complaint of two dogs running around getting into trash cans.  One dog was light brown with a city dog license number 12044 and the other was a white husky mix with a shock collar.  
The police department received a report of a disturbance at a residence.  Officers spoke to the resident who claimed his brother caused the disturbance and was not welcome back.  Officers found the brother at Town & Country and informed him of being trespassed from the residence. 
An officer spoke to a woman, claiming invisible laser beams were shooting her and they will not stop.  She was advised to go to the Emergency Room to seek medical treatment. 
Officers spoke to a woman who reported her ex-boyfriend would not stop harassing her by calling her about getting his property from her house.  The officers advised the woman to block his phone number and to seek a protection order. 
October 11
The police department received information on an individual with felony warrants.  The individual was transported to the Howell County Jail. 
The police department received a report of a vehicle being stolen from the Snappy Mart parking lot. 
A police officer responded to the junction of HH Highway and 137 to assist an ambulance. 
The police department was requested to locate a man who was believed to have harmed himself.  The man had walked into the woods and was located.  He denied wishing to harm himself or anyone else and was checked by medics.  
While on general patrol, an officer observed that the Snappy Mart car wash building front door was unsecured.  The attendant was notified and the door was secured. 
A father called the police department to request a wellbeing check on his children.  Officers found the children to be happy and the parents were cooperative.  No issues or concerns were found by the officers. 
October 12
An individual called the police department to ask questions about harassment.  
The police department was requested to perform a wellbeing check on a man at the Love’s Truck Stop.  The officers spoke to the man and then contacted his daughter to come pick him up. 
October 13
An officer was flagged down by a Snappy Mart attendant while traveling through the parking lot.  The attendated reported a plastic bottle with syringes being found while emptying the trash. 
The police department was requested to be on the lookout for a green Ford F-150 truck with no tailgate and damage to the rear fender.  The truck was reported stolen from Birch Tree in Shannon County. 
The police department performed a building check at Booster Field.
Animal Control received a call from the Willow Springs School resource officer regarding a dog with a chain that showed up at the school.  Animal Control picked up the dog.  Since the dog had no ownership information, the dog’s information was put on Facebook.  
Animal Control observed a red and tan dog running down Tenth St, but lost track of it near Sassafras St. 
Animal Control received a call from a woman who reported a skinny, brown pit bull running loose up and down the alley behind her house.  Animal Control arrived and spoke to the woman and her neighbors, but the dog had disappeared. 
The police department received a report of a dispute over a dog, however the incident took place outside city limits and the parties were referred to the appropriate county sheriff’s office. 
October 14
911 dispatched officers to Highway 60/63 for a woman travelling south who reported having an anxiety attack.  Officers located the woman and assisted her until Willow Springs Ambulance arrived. 
The police department performed a wellbeing check on North Summit Ave. Officers spoke to the individual who had been sleeping, but was fine  
October 15
While on patrol, an officer observed a man and woman sitting on a park bench on Center St.  After the officer spoke with them, the man stated he would like medical attention.  Emergency Medical Services was contacted and the man was transported to Mountain View for treatment. 
The police department performed a building check at Booster Field.
During general patrol early in the morning, an officer observed a black Chevrolet pickup truck parked on the side of Town & Country.  The officer spoke to the driver, who stated his tire was losing pressure and he was waiting on a friend to bring him a spare tire.  
An officer spoke with a man walking north on South Harris St. The man stated he was walking to his sister’s house by Caseys.  The man stated he is heading to Kansas City for a job he has lined up.  A check of the man’s identification showed a non-extraditable warrant out of Green County.  
911 notified officers of a back door alarm at the Tractor Supply. Officers took a look around and did not see anything out of order.  It was suspected that the alarm was affected by the wind as the wind gusts were very strong at the time. 
While on general patrol, an officer observed that the Snappy Mart car wash building front door was unsecured.  The attendant was notified and the door was secured. 
911 received a call for a wellbeing check on a maintenance man at Sunshine Village.  A tenant had called to report not seeing the man which was unusual.  Officers went to the location and found the maintenance man who was fine.
