The Lady Zizzers are the Back-to-Back Ozark Mountain Conference Champions. This is the fourth conference championship inn a row for the Lady Zizzers.
The meet, held Thursday, Jan. 29, was super close the entire time, and came down to the final race of the meet. According to Head Coach Ryan Smith, "We went into the final race down to Carl Junction by 7 points. To retain the title, we had to win the 400 Freestyle Relay and have one other team beat Carl Junction to make the point difference 8." The race was close and came down to the final leg. "Roslyn Fiorino dove in about 4 seconds behind Bolivar and even with Carl Junction. She quickly separated herself from Carl Junction and had to catch the anchor for Bolivar to secure the team championship. She pulled even off of the final turn and fought to the finish and barely out-touched Bolivar giving West Plains the final event win and the team championship." For the meet, West Plains had 287 points, Carl Junction with 286, Bolivar with 213, Logan-Rogersville with 153, Hillcrest with 126, and Marshfield with 106.
